My reaction, maybe much as yours, was that of a shrug. The first Diaz/Barrymore/Liu movie is kind of a guilty pleasure, but the sequel makes it look like Goldfinger, and I'm just a little too young to have sweet memories of the original series.
(Knight Rider, on the other hand...).
So I couldn't really imagine what they could do that would make me want to watch this redone redo.
Now, however, I have my answer: Place Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles Showrunner/Executive Producer Josh Friedman at the helm.
That'll do it.
