Rosie Perez had a joking exchange with President Barack Obama after the actress arrived at a White House function wearing a neck brace and in a wheelchair.
Perez, a long-time AIDS activist, was reportedly in Washington to help formulate a national strategy to fight the disease.
The star revealed she had sustained the injury last year while filming an episode of Law and Order: SVU.
The 45-year-old explained she had been hurt while shooting a scene in which the script called for an extra to shake Perez. The result was a slipped disc.
I'm sorry to hear about this...I like Perez, and it's not just because of her ass (or her tits, for that matter), though god knows...
At least she seems to be in good spirits.
